Today we had a talk to a policeman called Sean. We talked about leadership. He talked about.
Challenging yourself. His example was he was a shy kid in school and he was nominated to be Captin of the football team. He took the opportunity and challenged himself.
Be a good roll model. His example was on Black Saturday all the police officer didn’t know what to do so he told them what to do and how to help.
Lead by example. His example was he did a leadership course and the guy told him to never make friends and yell at people. He did it for a bit but then new that it was not the way.
Today Mrs Montgomery talked about leadership and these are all the things she talked about.
Hosesty. I need to be honest with myself and my friend so they trust me.
Listening. I need to listen to others and respect their ideas.
Trust your friends. If you don’t trust your friends things would be pretty hard and you would be alone.
Sense of humour. You need to have a sense of humour be you need to know the right time and place and make sure you laugh with people not at them.
Stay strong. You need to stay strong and hold your head up high. If things don’t go your way you need to bounce back and stay strong.
Teamwork. All most all leadership roll needs you to know how to work in a team. Teamwork is one of the most important rolls when being a leader.
Focusing on what’s important. You need to focuse on what’s important and not the little details. I have had to focuse on what’s important when doing my school work.
Keeping, Scaring, Guarding
They both keep people inside them.
Helping, Holding, Healing
In this jail,
it’s nothing but hail.
Guards don’t care,
About my lack of hair.
I’m very cold,
but I got a key mould,
I started to dig,
the hole became big.
I cut the fence down,
I can’t be found.
I ran away,
it was the day.
Sport. It was my first game back for bat tennis. I was playing singles. I was also the captin. I lost 4 to zero but it was still fun. I then got to score 2 game and we won 20 to 8.
Yesterday I drew a picture of what I thought in the Lunar System. I think that the Earth moves around the Sun once a year while spinning around once a day. I also think that the Moon moves around the Earth.
We had to pick a claim about what happens in the Lunar System. I picked this claim.
A Haiku Poem is a poem that has three lines. The first line must have five syllables, the second must have seven syllables and the third must have five. They were make in Japan. Here is my favourite poem I wrote.
Prisoners go there
The guards protect the prison
